Lights On the Field

This year an amazing show of love and support from the community happened. My nephew has a sun disease and is not able to be outside in any kind of sunlight. Yet, he is an excellent football player. The problem was his team's games were always during the day, because they did not have lights to play at night. He could only play on rainy days. Until the community did something about it. When told by the school board that there was no money for lights, several citizens starting fund raising. By the end of the year they had raised the $127,000 needed to purchase and install lights. And this year, my nephew, so is now a senior was able to play in more than half of the games because they could now be held after dark!
